Looking forward to summer and all the family boating trips you will be taking? The Marlago Boats family is just as excited and has put together some games for you to play aboard your new Marlago boat.

A few things to consider when playing games aboard a cruising boat. Make sure that everyone has a life vest just in case they go overboard, do not go over the maximum recommended number of people for your boat, and (if anyone is a little inebriated) pick games that are safe for them to participate in.

Human Ring Toss: You can have someone sit on a raft that is tied to the boat and have them hold their arms above their head. Then try to toss hula hoops (light/softer ones) around them while standing on the boat.

Ball Toss: Tie a raft that has a target painted on it to the boat. Have water balls that you throw at it and get points depending on where it lands. You could even have a special container in the center that you try to sink it into for additional points. To make it even more challenging you could have multiple tubes with the center cutout and fabric across the bottom of the hole, so the balls do not fall thru. And have specific colors worth different points. You can tie them at different lengths so that the further away tubes have a higher point value. It is helpful to have someone in the water or on a nearby flotation device to help gather any balls that went astray.

Inflatable Games: If you search online, you can find a wide assortment of premade inflatable water games. These were some of our favorites that could be played while anchored to an island or hanging out in a lake this summer.

  1. Cornhole
  2. Ring Toss
  3. Volleyball
  4. Tic Tac Toe

Classic Games: You can still play all your favorite card & board games you play at home on the boat if you plan accordingly. Look into getting waterproof cards and plan on the best time to play them. If you are in the Marlago Cruising Boat Cuddy Cabin instead of above deck, you do not have to worry so much about if the boat is moving and how much wind there will be. For games like checkers, chess, scrabble, and more look for the travel edition those usually have magnets and are made for on-the-go use.

Karaoke: Whether you buy a portable karaoke machine or download an app on your phone. Singing along to your favorite songs on the water is an experience your friends and/or family will not forget.
